The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe invited me to stay for two days to shoot the grounds of the property. It started out in 1923 as La Morada, a Spanish Colonial Revival guesthouse designed by architect Lilian Rice, and it still has her red tile roofs, stucco walls, courtyards and terraces. I spent the days wandering those courtyards, the pool and the gardens, tucked into the rolling hills and citrus groves of Rancho Santa Fe. We ended with dinner at Lilian's, the restaurant named after Rice, where the menu is built on ingredients from local farmers, ranchers and fishermen.
